Outcomes

To measure my kids' progress, I selected geometry questions from the National Educational Assessment of Progress (NAEP), which works with NCTM in developing its mathematics framework.

When I decided to compare my kids' scores with 8th and 12th graders, I threw out the first two questions (question 1 because it required an independent grader, and question 2 because kids learned to use their computer's calculator between pretest and posttest).
