Strategy

Here are some Contextual Inquiry questions about strategy (Contextual Design, p. 94)

  • What strategy is implicit in how the roles are organized?
  • How do individuals see themselves in the classroom?
  • What do they consider as their unique contribution to the class or school?
  • How does their contribution further the mission of the school?

The following quotes were found at http://www.moteaco.com/quotes.html:

"The teacher, when she begins work in our schools, must have a kind of faith that the child will reveal himself through work. She must free herself from all preconceived ideas concerning the levels at which the children may be."
(Montessori, 1995, p. 276)

This one isn't confirmed yet.

"The work of education is divided between the teacher and the environment."
- Discovery of the Child :: Clio Press, 1988 (reprinted 1996 edition) :: p. 152
