Probability FormulaTo calculate probability in general, we use the formula: (Number of target events) / (Number of possible events) For example, there are three possible ways of rolling an even number (roll a two, roll a four, or roll a six) and six possible of outcomes of a roll (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6), so the probability of rolling an even number is 3/6 = 1/2. |
